Thanks much for your response, Anna. For some inexplicable reason, it isn't
closing the app on my 3 GS. I just checked and found that this thing is
running IOS version 6.1.6 which is the latest version of IOS I can run on it.
Again

Thanks
Hi Peggy,
You do it from within the app. You can also go to the App Switcher, flick left
or right until you find the app you want, and double-tap.
Best,
Anna

Hi Anna, do you do the four fake flick finger left and right from the app
switcher or do you do it from your main screen or the app that you were ready
have opened?

Hi Peggy,
If you have an app open, you can flick left or right with four fingers to move
between open apps.

Anna

Hi, I have a question don't know if this is in the same subject but is there a
way if you have several apps open to flick from one app to the next app not by
going to another page but by flicking somehow I thought I had seen something, I
can't remember what I saw I thought it had something to
Hi Don,
The process hasn't changed except that the order of apps is reversed. Flick to
the app you want to close, and flick up with three fingers.

Anna

Unfortunately, I can't answer your question, but I do exactly what you
do to close my apps, and I don't have the problem with the App Switcher
automatically closing out from under me. Like I said, I know this
doesn't answer your question, but maybe there's something going on with
your phone
Michelle,
I tried asking Seeri if she would close apps. Her response was I can't close
apps.

I should imagine it's a one finger swipe up to close the app. I believe
with VoiceOver off one can close all apps at once with a three finger
swipe up.

Yes, when you are closing a nap without VoiceOver it is a one finger swipe up

App switcher can show up to three apps on the screen. Multiple apps can be
dragged upwards at the same time to close with corresponding number of
fingers with each finger dragging each app.
In previous versions of iOS 7, there were bugs in this operation, but now
the bugs seem to have gone
Hi Donald. I just tested this myself. It seems that in order to close an app
with Voiceover turned off, simply hold one finger on that app and drag it
upwards to close it.
