OK, if it was on by default, is there any reason it would just start

I turned off Shake to Undo and Touch to Wake too - in Accessibility, VoiceOver,
I believe.

There is another place, about apps running, Apps in Screen Background, I think,
in settings. I turned most off.

Screen time monitors how long you use your phone and will send weekly reports
as to which apps you used and for how long.
I think it is a battery drain and would only be useful if someone was
monitoring their children's use of their devices.
Also, turn off raise to wake.
Screen time is on the main settings screen. Raise to wake is under display and
brightnesssettings.

Hello all,

I have an IPhone 8 which is around a year old. I am still on
IOS

13.7. The only change I’ve made to the phone recently was to
turn off

notifications for apps. In the last 2 days the phone battery
seemed

to be dropping at a rapid rate. I’m not a heavy phone user so
this

was surprising. Last night I checked & the phone was at 100%
at 11PM

& was at 63% at 9AM. I had not used it at all during this
time. What should I check?

And before someone complains, I apologize for not reading the
somewhat

recent emails on battery drain. At the time, they did not
apply to me

so I deleted them without reading them.

Thanks,

Sherry Wells

You go into Screen Time in settings to turn it off - definitely a good thing

Screen time keeps track of how much time you use particular apps on your
iPhone. I forget exactly how I turned it off. I'd recommend going to page one
of your iPhone and checking in there. I know I've seen screen time in there
before.

OK, if it was on by default, is there any reason it would just start draining
the battery in the last couple of days? I’m not doubting anyone at all, just
wondering why the impact would have taken so long to notice.

Thanks,

Re: Battery Dropping 40 Percent Overnight

2020-09-27 Thread Richard Turner
Screen time monitors how long you use your phone and will send weekly reports
as to which apps you used and for how long.
I think it is a battery drain and would only be useful if someone was
monitoring their children's use of their devices.
Also, turn off raise to wake.
Screen time is on the main settings screen. Raise to wake is under display and
brightnesssettings.

Hello all,

I have an IPhone 8 which is around a year old. I am still on IOS
13.7. The only change I’ve made to the phone recently was to turn off
notifications for apps. In the last 2 days the phone battery seemed
to be dropping at a rapid rate. I’m not a heavy phone user so this
was surprising. Last night I checked & the phone was at 100% at 11PM
& was at 63% at 9AM. I had not used it at all during this time. What should I
check?

And before someone complains, I apologize for not reading the somewhat
recent emails on battery drain. At the time, they did not apply to me
so I deleted them without reading them.

Thanks,

Sherry Wells

Screen time keeps track of how much time you use particular apps on
your iPhone. I forget exactly how I turned it off. I'd recommend
going to page one of your iPhone and checking in there. I know I've

This is probably a dumb question but what is screen time in terms of turning it
off?

Thanks,

Also, make sure your screen brightness is set to 0 and your screen time is
turned off. Good luck.

Subject: Battery Dropping 40 Percent Overnight

Hello all,

I have an IPhone 8 which is around a year old. I am still on IOS 13.7. The
only change I’ve made to the phone recently was to turn off notifications for
apps. In the last 2 days the phone battery seemed to be dropping at a rapid
rate. I’m not a heavy phone user so this was surprising. Last night I checked
& the phone was at 100% at 11PM & was at 63% at 9AM. I had not used it at all
during this time. What should I check?

And before someone complains, I apologize for not reading the somewhat recent
emails on battery drain. At the time, they did not apply to me so I deleted
them without reading them.

Thanks,

Sherry Wells
