Yes, Becky, this app will describe intersections but not in the same way as
Seeing Eye GPS or the Trekker Breeze.

It's far better than seeing eye, because the distance to the next intersection
is counted down rather than just announced, no comparison.

In my personal opinion it is better.
You get advanced warning before you get there. That is while the screen is
locked.
In my humble opinion nearby explorer is the best gps app for the blind.
