I suspect perhaps Apple has implemented some of the fixes prior to releasing
IOS6 when Siri is also going to be on the New iPad.
I had not had any success with Siri for several weeks, other than a
momentary fix once or twice.
It does seem to be working much better.
I too hope it stays.

Yes, I don't know how Siri works and whether some customers are on different
servers from others, but last week, it was down for me for a couple of days.
When it finally came back, it was way faster and more accurate.
