I agree, think it must be a server issue. I’m using the 12 mini and have the
latest update and I’m getting the same message. I expect, however, that when I
try this tomorrow, it will work. It just gets Squirrley sometimes.

Hi Max,
Unfortunately, I think hearing aids have something to do with it. I also have
hearing aids connected to my phone. This afternoon, the phone wasn't playing
through the aids for some reason, and music recognition worked. I reconnected
the aids, and music recognition still worked.
Hi Tom,
I have the same problem also. Shazam won’t work either. I think it is having
my hearing aids connected to the phone at the same time.
Max.

Tom, I just asked my Sonos system to play KEGR on TuneIn and when a song started playing I asked Siri "What is playing?" It responded with "Naming that tune" and accurately identified the tune that was playing. It always works unless is a problem with the internet connection for me. Richard,
I also have Shazam in my Music app. I don't ever remember downloading it. I do
like Apple Music, however. I guess Shazam would be pretty good too. Maybe I
will try it. Anyway, I hope all of you have a wonderful day. It's nice and
sunny, but chilly here in Connecticut. Esther

Do we even need Shazam? I know we used to use Shazam, but after Apple, I
assume bought it, I don’t have envoke Shazam, I just ask Siri to identify a
song. I don’t do it a lot, but is my assumption correct?

Which exact version of iOS do you have on your phone and have you tried a
simple restart of the phone after clearing everything from the app switcher?

Yes, Alexa—enabled Sonos speakers are using Tune-in Radio to bring in KEGR Radio out of northern California. Using Pandora on the same speakers to bring in the George Friedrich Handel channel I get the same results. On Jan 4, 2024, at 5:50 PM, Richard Turner wrote:To make sure I understand
To make sure I understand your issue, you are listening to something through
the Sonos system and ask your iPhone to identify the song; is that correct? Are
