I do not have a PDF app and I've opened and read PDF files.
Are you using the latest version of Voice Dream Reader? There was a bug
concerning PDF files that was fixed in the latest version.

Hi all, I broke down and bought the app today, and I love it! I only
wish there was a way to use all of the voices that I already paid for
with CapTi, but apparently if I want them for use with Voice Dream, I
will have to pay for them again!
