There is also a program, called, open audible, which does much the same
thing.

It was actually taken off the internet a couple years ago. It is one
single program as I still have the EXE file for the latest version
that was released. I don't think it is being developed any more. I
have also been using the program for years

I am going to keep downloading in format 4 for as long as I possibly
can. I wish when I began with audible, that I had used enhanced, but
I didn't do that. Its five years to late to change at this point
unless I really have no choice.

I used to have an iphone 5s with only 16 gigs of memory too.
I would just download the books I wanted to listen to and then delete them
back off of the device. They just remain in the cloud until you download
them again.

I would just download the books I wanted to listen to and then delete them back

However, it is possible to download the books on to an mp 3 player.
There’s a program called Inaudible which is a file conversion program. Not
sure how legal it is, but as long as it’s for your own use and not being
shared, it probably isn’t a problem.
