You are a more tolerant friend than I could ever be!!
As for running from those artists that you mentioned, I can't speak re some of 
them:  Crass?  never hoid of'em, or they don't ring any bells anyway:  should I 
be relieved about that?  hang on a mo!  The Sugar Cubes may raise a faint 
tinkle: but as for Kate Bush:   I loved Heathcliffe Or  was it Wuthering 
Heights, or, perhaps, neither, but I am sure that you know which of her top 
hits I mean!

I often plug my iPhone into my stereo or my little JVC player and have music 
stream through my speakers. Problem is sometimes the volume can only be turned 
up so far and it's not quite to my liking when I'd like to have it louder. As 
for the music selection itself Jewel believe me it would be nothing you would 
like. I had two young women here who were in a band called And the Kids and I 
was playing them some of my old female vocalist Favorites like throwing Muses, 
Kate Bush, the English band Crass, And Sugar cubes… most if not all of any of

Hello. In my humble experience on my iPhone 8 Plus running iOS 12.3, I
haven't noticed a dramatic increase in battery drain from using a
different equalizer setting. I have mine set to base booster, and this
usually works quite well. My only real issue is that the volume of
various songs are different, where some are loud and some soft.
However, to fix this, I would need to turn on Sound Check in the music
settings, and that would limit the max volume.
