Sounds like WIFI assist was enabled. Perhaps the WIFI signal was not sufficiently strong to carry the movie, which would consume a lot of data, and WIFI assist kicked in. To be sure that this does not happen again, turn off WIFI assist under Cellular, under Settings. Andy From: Lois
