RE: the latest version of IOS 13 and battery drain
Not quite, a good friend of mine in Germany still is happily using his iPhone 5S which he got 6 years ago. He could easily afford a new phone every year if he so chose, but he just doesn't see the point. -Original Message- From: viphone@googlegroups.com On Behalf Of Carolyn Sent: Thursday, December 19, 2019 12:16 PM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: RE: the latest version of IOS 13 and battery drain Yes, but my phone is getting to be a senior citizen. -Original Message- From: viphone@googlegroups.com [mailto:viphone@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of Casey Sent: Wednesday, December 18, 2019 10:47 PM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: the latest version of IOS 13 and battery drain Hi have any of your out hear noticed since the latest update of IO'S 13.3. RE: the latest version of IOS 13 and battery drain
All you have to do is go to Settings > General > Reset (at the very bottom). Double tap on Reset and then flick until you hear "Reset Network Settings" and double tap. You will be asked to confirm, after you do your phone will restart. Once your phone has rebooted and you put in your PIN you have to do 2 things: 1. Go to Settings > General > About and you will see your iPhone's name is now simply "iPhone". Double tap on the name and change it to whatever you want such as "Reggie's iPhone" or "My iPhone" or whatever, once done tap the "Done button at the bottom right of the keyboard and you are good to go. 2. A Reset Network Settings will wipe out all Wi-fi passwords. You have to go to Settings > WiFi and reconnect to your WiFi by tapping on it and entering it's password. If you regularly go to other places where you had been connected to WiFi like at the house of a friend or family member then you will also have to reconnect to the WiFi there. That's it. I also suggest you close all apps from the app switcher before you do the Reset Network Settings. There are so many factors affecting battery drain, just wait it out, you could close all apps and reboot the phone or, if it really is serious, do a Reset Network Settings to see if that helps. -Original Message- From: viphone@googlegroups.com On Behalf Of Gordon Sent: Wednesday, December 18, 2019 7:57 PM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: Re: the latest version of IOS 13 and battery drain In the beginning mine did not drain any faster, but I've noticed this week that it has been draining a little faster.
