Okay, the reset did the trick. I have no clue what happened to kill voice
over or freeze the phone; it was just sitting there unplugged doing nothing.
It's working fine now, though. Thanks for all of the suggestions.

Awesome, glad it worked, I fixed a friend of mine's iphone a few weeks
ago by doing that.
