Tracking steps on iPhone

2022-10-28 Thread Marilyn and Don Bilderback
In health, select the browse tab, and then the profile button in the very top.

Fill out all the information.

You can opt to share it or not.

I think after you have the profile filled out, and selected what you want for
notifications, the summary should include activity at the bottom of the screen
which will include steps.

If you double tap on steps you can select day, week, month, year

In order to look day by day, you need to double tap the Week button in the
Steps screen of the Health app.

Once you do this, you will be able to look at each day and see the total steps
in that day.

Or, install Pedometer++ and try it out.

RE: Tracking steps on iPhone

2022-10-08 Thread h.begum99 via VIPhone
Hi,

So is there a good accessible free app to get step count because before the
health app used to be good at doing this an you could look day by day to see
the step count e.g. see how many steps you did last Monday but now it just
seems to give a little comparison and you can’t check day by day.

Thanks

Re: Tracking steps on iPhone

2022-10-08 Thread Wayne Merritt
Hi. I use the Health App as well. In addition, I use an app called StepsApp
Pedometer. I don't recall if it cost any money. StepsApp is very accessible,
and you can set daily steps and distance goals, in addition to the other
information it and the Health app can track. For those interested, StepsApp
also can be used on your Apple Watch as a complication. I really like StepsApp
since it gives push notification encouragements, such as when I ap 50% or 80%
to my daily goal.

Warm regards and happy step counting,

Wayne Merritt

Re: Tracking steps on iPhone

2022-10-08 Thread Richard Turner
Yes it can track your steps.
Probably best to have it in the front pocket; but I believe it uses distance
traveled not just motion, so carrying it in a bag shouldn't matter.
In health, select the browse tab, and then the profile button in the very top.
Fill out all the information.
You can opt to share it or not.
I think after you have the profile filled out, and selected what you want for
notifications, the summary should include activity at the bottom of the screen
which will include steps.
If you double tap on steps you can select day, week, month, year
Or, install Pedometer++ and try it out.

Tracking steps on iPhone

2022-10-08 Thread Tom Cramer
Hello,
RecentlyI'm going to be in a situation where I and others will be
keeping track of daily steps to see who can get the most after a month
or something.
I was told that my iPhone can keep track of my steps and that it would
be in the health app.
What do I have to do because when I go there, there is no activity
registered and I have my phone with me all the time.
Do I also need to keep my phone on a certain way to record my steps?
Hope someone knows what I need to do.
