Like twitter the carriers have put a limit to the number of characters that one
can send via text message. If you exceed this limit then the message gets split
into multiple messages.

there are three dots at the end of it, but no way to get the rest of it.

Right, so that means it is not an IPhone issue at all. That is a good
thing that it is not an IPhone issue and also points to where the
issue is. At least that's the way I understand it at this point.

HI all. Sometimes I notice when texts come in and they are too long the
message gets cut off and voice over won't read the whole thing.
Anything I can change or do or is there another app I can use besides
the standard messaging app to read texts like that?

I read them in the messages app. Haven't tried the notifications app.
I'll see if it behaves differently there. They are sms texts from
facebook especially if someone makes a long comment it doesn't read the
whole thing.
