I agree with your rant; and I'll add my own. VoiceOver is free. You get amazing accessibility, and it does not cost a cent more. Bugs exist in all software, get over it. If you use a Windows computer, you have to spend a heck of a lot more for good accessibility; and there are bugs there too.

I have Jaws on my computer and personally, I don't have a problem with it at all. Can you change the pitch in typing mode in settings because I didn't find that anywhere. I decided to go with Tom. That voice sounds more human than some of the rest. At least if I get tired of it, I can change it
