Re: FaceTime calls and the speaker

2018-05-17 Thread 'Sandy Tomkins' via VIPhone
Sieghard,
I thought as much, mine is not behaving that way. my partners phone is
behaving perfectly, he has a 6+, but my eight is not. I am wondering if there
is a setting somewhere that I can changeā€¦ I did try swiping at the top of the
phone screen, but it made no difference.
Thanks for all the help, Sandy

RE: FaceTime calls and the speaker

2018-05-17 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Facetime Audio works the same as a regular call for me, if I move the phone
away from my ear it switches to speakerphone mode.
Facetime with video usually goes straight to the speakerphone since the
assumption is you want the other person to see you so you are not holding your
phone up to your ear hence providing an up close view of the side of your head
*smile*.
Also, if you use Facetime and you are using it to show something to the other
person you can look for a "Flip Camera" button and if you double tap it the
back camera will be used instead of the front camera which I sthe default.

Hi,

I have had iphones since the very first 4 came out, but have never used
Facetime! I just tried it and found it did work, but the sound was routed
through the small speaker, the one used by the phone, how can I get it to route
via the large speaker at the bottom of the phone?
Thanks, Sandy.
