Since the upgrade to IOS8
, I too hear about IOS updates before notifications appear on my devices.
I'm not sure why that is. However, despite this, I have been able to find
all updates in settings and download and install them with no problem.

in Settings. I know this because if an update is there VoiceOver will
say, Settings, 1 item, where that 1 item is the update.

phone checks for updates, but if you check manually, it's there at the same
time for everyone.

wasn’t reading the labels on the buttons. It just indicated “button”. This
scared me until I rebooted and all was fine again.
