Mickey, I’m sure you thought of this, but the only thing I can think of would
be in settings under sounds and haptics. Good luck.

Hi:

The problem is not that the side switch is on mute.

The problem is that when she touches the bottom of the screen to get to the
home screen, she doesn’t here any sound to let her know that she can slide up
to the home or app switcher. She turned that off because she had an iPhone 8
which had a home button. When she restored from a backup when they set up her
iPhone 12 Pro max, that option is still turned off.

I can not remember the name of that sound and can not turn it back on for her.

We’ve looked in accessibility, VoiceOver, where there is a “more” button which
describes the gestures, but it doesn’t mention the sounds.

Hello:

I have a perplexing problem.

I am working with a client who has turned off the sound that your iPhone makes
when you slide up from the bottom or down from the top of the screen. Does
anybody know what that sound is called and how do you turn it back on?

I’ve never had this problem before. Mine has always worked and I never wanted
to turn it off!

Make sure the sound option isn’t in the rotter, if it is go to it and flick

RE: Question about sound used to identify the Home screen, Control center and App switcher

2021-05-26 Thread mickey.quenzer

We’ve looked in accessibility, VoiceOver, where there is a “more” button which
describes the gestures, but it doesn’t mention the sounds.

and App switcher

Mickey, have them turn their rotor to sound then with one finger flick up or
down to turn sounds back on. This is the only way I have been able to
duplicate what you have described.

RE: Question about sound used to identify the Home screen, Control center and App switcher

2021-05-25 Thread Richard Turner
Did they just mute their phone or did they go into VoiceOver Audio settings?

If they went into the VO audio settings and don't remember what they did,
perhaps using the search field at the top of the settings window for something
like home screen sound, or something along those lines.
