Yes but only as I got to them,

However I’m not talking about siri
I’m meaning the voice controls or commands that is a newer feature in the ios
platform.

Hello Adam. I just had a brief poke around for a solution. Unfortunately,
there's no toggle in VoiceOver settings for the screen curtain. Using Siri
isn't an option since it seems to think you want to control curtains connected
via the home kit. The only thought which occurs to me is going into the
VoiceOver commands settings and changing the screen curtain gesture to some
other gesture which isn't already used for something else and might be easier
for her. I cover this sort of thing in the guide I just released last Monday.
You'll find a link to my blog where you can find the guide. It's also on
Applevis. Best of luck to you.

RE: Turning screen curtain off?

2020-05-03 Thread Simon A Fogarty
Hi Adam,

Is there anything within the mobility settings under accessibility on the device
Such as the assistive touch that might help the person out?

Or can siri switch screen curtain off / on?

It didn’t like it when I tried but then I may have used the wrong term.

You can, of course, use Siri to turn voice control on - and, when you’re
finished, give the voice control command Turn off voice control, then give the
command Tap Execute and you are back to normal!

Using the voice control feature is perhaps
the simplest solution. Once voice control is
on and the necessary files have had time to
download, you can give a command to turn screen curtain on or off.

Hi all,
Someone I know who is elderly and has
trouble with gesturing has their screen curtain on.

Is there any way to turn it off without using the 3 finger triple tap?
TIA.

Re: Turning screen curtain off?

2020-05-02 Thread Richard Turner
If you have Voice Control turned on, Say "voiceOver Screen Curtain" and the
screen curtain will toggle between on and off.
If its on, it will turn off; if off, then on.

Is there any way to turn it off without using the 3 finger triple tap?

RE: Turning screen curtain off?

2020-05-02 Thread Richard Turner
Reggie,
Have you tried putting the onscreen keyboard into caps lock since you set up
that gesture?
Now in iOS 13, you need a one finger quadruple tap to activate caps lock.
I’m curious if your gesture overrides that one.

Hi all,
Someone I know who is elderly and has trouble with gesturing has their screen
curtain on.
Is there any way to turn it off without using the 3 finger triple tap?
TIA.

Don't think... Siri cannot do it. You can practice this gesture on a table.
Quick triple tape with Three fingers with a little space between each and

Re: Turning screen curtain off?

2020-05-02 Thread Michael Feir
Hello Adam. I just had a brief poke around for a solution. Unfortunately,
there's no toggle in VoiceOver settings for the screen curtain. Using Siri
isn't an option since it seems to think you want to control curtains
connected via the home kit. The only thought which occurs to me is going
into the VoiceOver commands settings and changing the screen curtain
gesture to some other gesture which isn't already used for something else
and might be easier for her. I cover this sort of thing in the guide I just
released last Monday. You'll find a link to my blog where you can find the
guide. It's also on Applevis. Best of luck to you.

2013-11-06 Thread Alan Paganelli
