Re: iOS 14.2 won't download & install on iPad Air 2 Ca 2014

2020-11-22 Thread Kevin Gibbs
Hi Robert,

No. I’m a mere mortal without access to betas. :). I ended up calling
Accessibility. Was shocked to learn that they answer the phones 24x7. A guy
named Jeremy, based in Tennessee, walked me through the process for updating
the iPad using my ancient Mac mini and a cable. I left him a great review.
Thing is, the customer service comment form was not really accessible using VO.
I used the vision I had to fill out the form and forgot to complain about the
form itself. Oh well. All’s well that ends well.

My iPad tells me that a new OS is available for download. I have it charged
to 100%. I download and it gets to about 93% downloaded and then says that an
error occurred during the download. My wife has done some reading and says
that one of the reasons might be that there is a partial copy of this OS
somewhere and that I should remove this before attempting the download again.
Pam can't find it anywhere and we don't know what to do. I'm assuming that if
the hardware didn't support the OS, I wouldn't be given the message to try
downloading and installing it. the machine works fine. but I'd like to update
the OS if I'm entitled to do so. I have already exited iCloud and signed back
in without any change to the download problem. I've tried this on several
different days to allow for extreme traffic downloading the update. I don't
think that's the problem. Ideas?

Subject: iOS 14.2 won't download & install on iPad Air 2 Ca 2014

My iPad tells me that a new OS is available for download. I have it charged to
Ideas?

Yes. Upgraded to something like 250GB when my iPad wouldn’t update. It’s only
a 60GB box with 25GB on it. Storage can’t be the issue.
