Hi,
I use VNC to view and set up programs for my church, from my home. I did
not set up the original system. I had no problems accessing the church
computer, until my daughter set up a wireless router, and added my husband's
and her computers to our cable modem internet connection.

Yes, positive. Not only is each PC in a lockable cabinet (or similar
space), but there are no monitors or keyboards/mouse on site. Therefore
it's impossible for anyone to use them locally
Are you absolutely, positively sure that no one is using Remote Desktop

Also, are you sure the server is running as "Local System Account"
(Properties->Log On for the service)?
I am assuming when this happens that there is no one there do do remote

There is also ZVNC, which is free. The downside of ZVNC is
that it is PC only, and out of date with respect
to the current vnc sources.

OK, I now have some error messages to dissect:
Firstly, it logs that I've tried to access the PC, saying

Then, three seconds later (after I've entered the password), it then
rejects me and spits out the following code:

Not sure if this is the right place to ask a support question or not, but here

With the Free Version of RealVNC, I see that you can change the Server
options to run on different Ports. Which should work well for what i want to
do. However, how do you configure the Ports that the VI

Hi folks,
Trying to build vnc4.1.1 on amd64 (LP64) I get this error:
vncExtInit.cc: In function 'int ProcVncExtGetQueryConnect(_Client*)':
vncExtInit.cc:754: error: cast from 'void*' to 'CARD32' loses precision
Does anybody know a patch?

Encryption will not help prevent "session hijacking". It's used
just to insure the privacy of your communication. Anything you do over
an un-encrypted VNC connection can be captured, saved and replayed in
the future. That kinda gives me the creeps. :)

Heya. When you make a VNC connection, the password you
type is not sent across the wires, not in plaintext, and not
encrypted. Instead, the exchange uses something called "challenge
response". Good description here:
