In windows XP go to Start-Run. Type MSCONFIG in the run box. Select the Start tab. Uncheck items you do not want to startup. Save changes. Reboot windows. Next time it starts, a dialog box will appear which asks if you wan to show this dialog box each time. Put a check in the box at the bottom

vncviewer on thumb drive for Mac OS X

I put the VNC viewer for Mac OS X on a thumb drive and managed to get it to work with SSH and the script I was working on the other day. It doesn't seem to recognize the localhost:25901:1 part of the command though, so I had to increase sleep 10 to sleep 100 to have enough time to deal with
