If you have a new computer, then you would have a new install of the operating
system. I assume the internet is working fine for both computers and the
network between the computers is working. I also assume you have been able to
verify port 5900 and 5800 are open.

I used VNC a couple of years ago, and have recently comeback to it. I
previoulsy used it as a remote viewer, but now I'm looking for more
functionality. specifically, I would like to mount local disks, sync
folders between local and remote folders, scripting, etc. From

I just switched from windows XP to windows 7, and I have a two monitor
setup. In windows XP, full screen would span the VNC window across
both monitors, and the border would disappear. In windows 7, full
