The ATA matters, but the choice of ATA won't make much of a difference if there
is a problem with the way the call is being carried in between the ATA and the
other end of the live call.
Fax machines, being essentially low-bitrate data modems, are naturally picky
about audio bandwidth and
If you must use SIP, try using T.38 (make sure your upstream provider
supports it). If for some reason you can't, use G.711 (and not any
compressed codec).

Do you know about any fax over internet solution that works? We tried multiple
ATA and multiple ATA configurations, sometime it works sometimes not.
Also, do you know about any eFax solution provider that works good.

I don’t need any particular number addressed, it is more on how to direct our
customers on who to talk to for erroneous blocking.
Right now, it is pretty clear who all to direct someone to when in the USA;
but, I have been a bit stumped on Canada. It sounds like I have
YouMail has a Canada user base and analyzes that traffic the same as the
USA. Their data is available a few different ways, depending on your needs.
I.E. blocking known spammers inbound, or feedback on what your own calling
numbers are doing outbound.

1. Canada has a separate S/S token authority and there is no agreement in
place to be able to delegate from the USA to Canada and vice versa. That

of reputation. I would assume there are similar in Canada. Does anyone have any
