Anyone have any recommendations for a spam scoring service API that's
reasonably priced and relatively comprehensive? I know there are
several, but I'm curious what others like.

I have a contracting customer that has a bunch of older TDM gear that
they've decommissioned and are wanting to get rid of. All of this gear
is located in One Wilshire in Los Angeles (624 S. Grand Ave), and it is
local pickup only. They are willing to part out some of the hardware,
but not
It's likely being done as a way to track searches. I was involved in a
company (that shall remain unnamed) that did something very similar.
They provision a DID that's forwarded to the "real" number, and display
that in the search results so they can track that a search resulted in a
call.
Seconded. If you are not a customer, most of the "big guys" won't even
acknowledge your existence. I've *occasionally* made some headway with
reaching out to their porting contacts and very nicely asking them to
pass the info to the translations team, but that's a very uncommon
occurrence.
Just a point of note, Sprint does not, and never did, own O1
Communications. The O1 and TPx (telepacific) split happened almost a
decade before Siris acquired TPx. O1 is its own privately held entity.

Not exactly criminal and not really "getting around" the process, but
I've seen a few calls across different networks I run that they've set
"Verified" as the CNAM
Yup, have seen the same. Probably trying to "get in while the gettin'
is good" before S starts killing that stuff off.

I would posit that outpulsing a specific ANI with authorization of, and
at the request of, the number's owner doesn't really fall under the
colloquial understanding of "spoofing". I think that term is typically
used to imply malice or deceit.

I hope you got the double platinum oxygen free Monster cable from Best Buy?
They send faxes TWICE as fast as normal cables. ☺

Thank you to everyone that provided useful suggestions. I've reached out to a
couple of recommended vendors that appear to have the solutions I'm looking for.

"6xx codes are supposed to be used to indicate definitive knowledge that a
number can't be reached by any other means globally."
Yet vendors build hardware that still route advances on a 6XX... (yes, I'm
looking at you, Sonus) *grumble*

shouldn't be route advancing on a status code that explicitly states "do not
try any other endpoints".

As my initial email said, we've been looking at the NetBorder box from you
guys, but I want to see what other options (if any) are out there. Our current
solution isn't very conducive to growth.

Make sure you're fully disabling the ALG on those Fortigates. I got bit
by that one time when I discovered (after many emails with support) that
there are 2 places you have to shut off the SIP ALG before it's actually
disabled, and the documentation only mentioned one of them.
