Re: [VoiceOps] Landline SMS
we use nexmo.com, they can port the sms portion of a number over to get text messages (as i think most providers can do) you can either use their API, or use something like http://www.kannel.org/ On Wed, Mar 11, 2015 at 7:47 AM, Brian Taylor bri...@socket.net wrote: We're looking at offering some SMS/Text Messaging services to our landline customers. Has anyone tried using Twilio for Godaddy 2Step authentications? For some odd reason GoDaddy sends its sms differently and it doesn't work with Twilio or Google Voice SMS. Aryn H. K. Re: [VoiceOps] Landline SMS
Most VoIP numbers cannot accept SMS messages from short codes. GoDaddy may be sending them from a short code, which ensures that you are using a mobile. Sucks. Are you looking to integrate it with Broadworks/BTBC? I looked at Clickatell in the past - http://www.clickatell.com/ - but there are dozens of providers out there. Their web site is horribly low on useful information, but it seems to imply that they are an automated SMS reply engine and not really an SMS platform.
