Manoj, can you try VPP-20.05 instead of VPP-19.04? I suspect the DPDK-19.02
used with VPP-19.04 is too old for your platform and skip 2MB hugepages. DPDK
19.02 seems to support up to 3

Could you share the output of:

Can you capture:

grep . /sys/devices/system/node/node*/hugepages/hugepages-*/*

VPP passes --in-memory so there should be no hugepage files created in the
fliesystem.

I also tried the nuclear options.
Set the kernel command line to

Shmuel,
When I run that command I got the following:

Strange.
I usually unmount and then mount the hugepages mount point before using it,
just to be sure.
Maybe the two different mount points

As mentioned in my 1st email, can you check whether /mnt/huge is full of

Which interfaces are you going to use to rx/tx packets? VPP natively supports
some Intel,

Hi Manoj,
The issue is because of DPDK initialization
Hi Manoj,
The issue is because of DPDK initialization. In the working conf, you disable
DPDK plugin so DPDK is not initialized and everything is fine.
Can you check whether /mnt/huge is full of dpdk-created staled files? I saw
this happen from time to time. The fix is simple, just remove the
19 matches
