Hello Neil,
Are you using the latest firmware for your Router ... http://au.billion.com/support/bipac7402vgp.php
There were issues with earlier version firmware not being able to use

I had no problems with the airport express - other than complaining
that it

Sorry Neil, on closer reading, doesn't seem that you're using WDS
anyway.
I had an Apple base station in place to extend the reach of my 7404VGP-

somewhere along the line learning that if I wanted security in place,

Hi Rob,
this happens when you update an application and haven't deleted the

will disapear in a puff of smoke , then drag the updated one into the
Dock where it will place an alias of it, I think you will find that

Using a mouse gets round the problem, but it's not

HD is great (i assume you mean High Def)
But you can only view proper HD on an HD TV or an appropriate monitor.
Normal LCD projectors are not HD and normal TVs and 720? TVs are not HD.
Also consider archiving your footage. - Tape based high def cams are a great
option for archiving.
What do you do
Hi Steven
I had problems with the trackpad on by iBook G4.
The problem sounds similar to yours, but i also had times when the
cursor would jump across the screen as I tried to use the trackpad.
My solution was to get the trackpad replaced under the Apple Care
extended warranty.

Hope you are all going well on this nice, slightly wet spring day.

Hi Paul, if you are thinking of High Definition, so long as you have:
an Intel Mac
iLife 08
You no longer need firewire if you have an Intel Mac and iLife 08.
Most camcorders are compatible with iMovie 08 using USB to get the
footage uploaded. They all have ways of linking directly to TVs -

David,
You will see an improvement with more RAM.
Visit http://www.islayer.com/ and download and
install iStatMenus. You can then monitor the
CPU/RAM usage and see what is going on !
(What exactly is hogging the RAM and CPU)
Others will offer their hints but they are mine !

Hi Ronni,
No, I'm still with the firmware that came with it (5.04k).
I was very unwilling to upgrade firmware after reading many of the forums
(both Billion Whirlpool) where many people were having problems with the
later firmware - particularly with myNetphone (who have a couple of

Hi Steven,
As I discussed in my reply to Ronni, I'm a bit leery of updating the
software - I may try Billion's support though.
No, I'm not trying to set it up as a WDS and yes, I have ( will!) remain
firmly ethernet connected while setting up!
Cheers
