Hi
This afternoon I received an email purporting to be from the ANZ bank
saying that I had two unread emails. It also said 100 emails only would
by held for me, the recent 100. To read the emails I had to click on a
link, which I did. The link asked for my username and password, so I
Hi Merv,
I had a similar attack today. It looked like an official update for Adobe
Reader but apparently either sends Mac users an advert for some software.
Apparently under windows it installed spyware on an earlier version.
PLEASE DO NOT CLICK ON ANY OF THE LINKS IN THE E-MAIL BELOW!! I
I have noted an on line tool for creating shortened URL's for the
lengthy ones we often see (a la the example below). I know it works from
my Windows machine and presume no issues from Mac.
Have a go, it's dead easy and it's helped me on many occasions.

Afternoon all,
Am I correct in assuming that the current version of what was Final Cut Pro is
now Final Cut Express 4.0? Recent posts seem to indicate that upgrading from
iPhoto to Final Cut Express 4.0 is worth while in terms of improved results,
does anyone know if there is there a trial
I am aware of this one but do not have any real use for it

Hello,
I've been using Eudora 6.2.4 in Paid mode as my client for a decade
or so but have come upon a fault I can't seem to fathom, let alone
fix. After deleting 72 apparently read mails and showing there are
another 630 to transfer, nothing happens until I get the following

No, Adrian. There is Final Cut Pro 7 (Final Cut Studio) then there

Not exactly, separate ideologies of same software.
FCP has been part of Final Cut Studio for a while now even though it holds it's
own version number currently FCP 7.?. Very much a Professional product with
industry standards built in, etc..
FCE is basically an upgrade to iMovie
Thanks Ronni, I meant iMovie 09.
Given that Final Cut Studio sells for $1,499 I presume that it has attributes
far in excess of what I need. From what I have read Final Cut Express 4.0
should get me a better result for home movies than iMovie 09.

This used to be a fix sometimes for either Mail (or another email client).
If you have another message you don't mind getting rid of, then highlight
the good message, then highlight the bad message(s).
Then once they are highlighted, delete them the normal way and fingers
crossed they should go,
final cut studio is
final cut pro - compressor - pro logic sound editing - dvd studio -
color (color correction) - a few smaller bells
i'm using the studio2 which has fcp6.xx, dvd stdio 4.x, compressor
3.x, i'm not using the sound track..
if you have fc express you may save some $$,
Tried that -and now your reply has become Undeleteable! Not only
that but the Delete button now becomes Undelete If I then exit the
Wamug Mailbox and return to it Undelete reverts toDelete and so on
etc ad nauseum! AARGGH!

Hello,
I am running 10.5.8 on an iMac G5
All my AddressBook contacts have gone.
I realised things were going wrong when I was syncing my iPhone and
found no data in Address Book on my iMac. Now it's wiped all the
Contacts from the iPhone too. They were there this morning on the
iPhone.

Thanks Alex,
That's very clever.
Unfortunately the only data that is showing is from end December 2009.
My Entourage data is more recent, so I'll use that, but why would the
Address Book data not be current? That seems odd to me.

Merv, I think you need to step up to a Macbook Pro to get Firewire. My
Macbook 13 does not have Firewire - I go it in Dec '09. The Apple site
will confirm full details of them all for you.

Peter.

You are correct. The Macbook (the white polycarbonate model) has no Firewire
port: just two USB
The firewire port was removed from the latest unibody plastic MacBooks.
The low end MacBook Pro has firewire 800 plus SD card reader.

Hi you can still get a 13 MacBook with FireWire, but not the cheap
white one. This 13 is called a MacBook pro as it's aluminium.

Thanks Peter. Fortunately I did not proceed to responding to the email

seems to be well.

Thank you James. My problem was I had downloaded a 10.5 up grade. I used
appzaper to remove the app and down loaded the proper 10.4.11 app. and all
is well. For those of you who have not tried PTH Past board, give it a look.
It sure is handy.
