For those using Telstra Cable Broadband, there is a general maintainable outage
at the moment. Seemingly widespread.
On their website, they are saying normal service will return at 15:00 today.
I must have missed their heads up email alert letting their loyal customers
know about the pending o

Blitto, if you are at all concerned Log In to your Apple ID the normal way and
check your details are correct. Don't change anything if you don't need to
update any details, just Log Out.
Never click on the link included in these emails. Just delete them.

Hi Rick
Before you take it for repairs, have you tried turning the iPhone off then on
again, and/or plugging it into iTunes and restoring it to original?
Once it has been restored to original, you can rebuild it from the backup in
iTunes.

My iPhone 4 as of yesterday has started to not enable the caller to hear me (I

In all my time I have never had an issue with a bad apple, so do I go to the

Don't like the sound like 'dropping the clutch'. Is it like it

Apologies to that list for that.
Late nights and failing eyesight with little fonts will be my excuse there. :)
Least attachments get scrubbed,…lol :)
Sorry again.
Kind regards

Hi Ronni
Thanks for your guidance with this problem.
An update:
The alert tone was coming from an external hard drive. Specific cause is not
determined, but I feel there are several pointers.
I had earlier moved half of my movie files to this new external HD. Spotlight

now determined that the tone is coming from an external hard drive undergoing
read/write activity, but I cannot precisely locate the trigger event. The most
recent alert tone occurred while I was standing up

Sorry if I've missed this in Ronni's input, but are you sure it's not a
notification of new mail coming in?
A single noise now and again made me think of an email arriving. You've said
you have Mail open. Can you close it for a while and see if the sound still
occurs?
