I don’t think I;m really hi-jacking this thread to mention a warning to those intending to upgrade their portable devices to iOS11 (and if you already have upgraded then this warning is too late for you): If you rely on certain apps which happen to be 32 bit because they have not been updated

Yes Ronni. Got it when I got the new iMac . Very interesting ! However I have had the “sleep” issue for a long time with ejecting external hard drives. Just realised that I did not turn “automatic sleep” off on the new iMac. I have done that now so will see how I go. However I will that forum
