I installed the combo and I can use Audacity to open and play mp3 and
AIFF files. It won't handle .m4a files.

Audacity itself works fine. The problem is interfacing with the iMic

I do not know if this is a coincidence or not, but since installing the
10.5.7 combo update my MacBook Pro will not wake from sleep and I have to
press the power button to shut down the computer and, after waiting for a
bit out of caution, power up again. Fortunately Word has retrieved documents

You activate and deactivate each network interface using the gear icon
menu at the bottom of the list. When an interface is deactivated, it
is dimmed.
