My MacbookPro (2 GHz Intel Core i7, 10.6.8) can't see the mouse any more.
When I open the Bluetooth Preferences it says 'Name not available' where it
should give the details of the MBP. It claimed that the mouse was connected and
discoverable but it did not work.
I tried new

Is it a Magic Mouse?
First, have you tried restarting your MBP?
Second, have you tried going to System Preferences Bluetooth Preferences,
remove your bluetooth mouse, and repair it?

I should have thought of that. I have used that strategy since 1985 and the
