Lost Bluetooth Mouse Pairing

Hello All My MacbookPro (2 GHz Intel Core i7, 10.6.8) can't see the mouse any more. When I open the Bluetooth Preferences it says 'Name not available' where it should give the details of the MBP. It claimed that the mouse was connected and discoverable but it did not work. I tried new
