Thanks for that tip. You weren't alone. I didn't know that trick and, like you,
I organise into many and various folders, sub-folders, etc. Just followed your
help and hey presto, there it was. Like your good self, I'm still happily using
Snow Leopard.
Now I just have to remember
Neil, this does not appear to be a Snow Leopard feature.
Only a Lion feature? If so then I for one will use it as I have nested folders
as well and it is tiresome finding the level folder to save the document.

I am on Snow Leopard myself so, yes, it is a Snow Leopard feature:
Pick a file you have open and save as in the save as dialogue box that
opens there is a search box (with the magnifying glass icon in it) in the
top right corner - start typing in this box and it becomes a spotlight type
This one falls into the obvious when you think about it category - so many
of you will think doesn't everyone know that - but it never occurred to me
until today! ;o)
