may be just as a temporary solution put you macbook onto a larger aluminium plate or heat sink (from a broken down amplifier), the 'heatsink is taking more heat away then just the air going underneath through... i'm doing that for ages with my powerbook to reduce the time the fan is running

hi folks, Macbook Pro 2.33 gHz Core 2 keeps dying. dead as a doornail, after a few hours, like the plug kicked out. I have decided it is overheating, cause every time this happens the fan isn't on but the chassis is almost uncomfortably warm. Have propped it up off the desk but still happ
