I am pretty sure the apple warranty would not cover this.
Can anyone recommend or suggest someone who could fix this, and approx

A friend got his cracked iPhone screen replaced by a guy who came out to his
house and replaced it there and then for $80.
He might do iPod touch screens as well.

These units are normally covered under a household comprehensive insurance
policy.
Problem arises with excess v cost of fixing?
Claims over year could force policy increase?
But, I have had many mobile phones replaced with similar damage, and no cursory
increase except for excess being

They fixed my cracked iPhone LCD screen. Much cheaper than going through
Apple Repairs...
