Since I moved on to OSX 10.1 any email I receive containing images, such
as Apple News, Quicktime news, News.com digital, etc, has a blank space
where an image would normally be. After about a minute these spaces

that Apple recently placed an order for 150,000 Flat Screen Displays,
fuelling speculation about a new Flat Screen iMac due in early 2002.
I can't imagine the design of an all in one unit with a flat screen.

timeline/delivery management.
I am open to off the shelf software or something specifically being

As beautiful as OS X is to use, there are quite a few things I miss...
Not the least was the ability of OS 9's Energy Saver to wake itself up
at a scheduled time - I would use the computer as an expensive alarm
clock and have it play me some mp3s when it was time to get out of

Cron would be how i'd do timed tasks in linux or Solaris.
Of course, cron relies on the CPU to actually be running. Which is
difficult when the power's been switched off :-)
