-- Thanks a lot Ken. I installed Tooble, and managed to download one video with it, though most of those I tried gave me eg Error D14: The video 'Sarah Blasko - We Won't Run' has failed to download. I'll experiment and see if I can work out what's happening. I have found the list of error codes.

Hi David Sorry I called you Noel ! Yes, I find the same re flv and mp4. I just assumed it was whatever format people put up on utube is what you get. I know I've put a video up which I formatted in mp4. Perhaps flv are smaller files ? Perhaps this is a query someone else can respond to.

The problem could be the cold weather making the lubricant in the hard disk too viscous to allow the disk to start spinning. If you don't hear any disk noises during booting that is probably the cause. In that case. allow the machine to warm up before starting. Putting it in direct,

Hi Hugh,I also ran into the same problems with DVDxDV (just when I needed it most)The only solution was to use Handbrake (make sure you use the correct setting - I think I used Classic) and then edits the final file with QuickTime Pro. This takes longer in time but about the same effort as DVDxDV
