Hi Severin,

If you are NOT using iCloud; Go to System Preferences iCloud and 'Sign Out'
See if that stops the Upgrading Calendars

phone call from him the other day. He has a large collection of legacy Macs
(from the sound of things they are probably all pre-Intel) and before he sets
the wheels in motion to dispose of them, he is wondering if there are any WAMUG
members interested in taking some of them off his hands.

If you are interested at all please let me know ASAP. Their days are numbered.

Hi Severin,

When you first opened Calendar.app after upgrading to Mountain Lion, did you
allow it to complete Upgrading Calendars?

I require more information on how you have Calendar.app setup how you have
been syncing.
The message you received when you 'Signed out of iCloud' indicates you have
been and are using iCloud.

Open Calendar.app
Calendar Preferences Accounts - What do you have listed here, is it
'iCloud CalDAV'?

Under Calendars (in Side column) - what Calendars do you have selected
Subscriptions?

Wednesday 12 September for new iPhone?

2012-07-30 Thread wa...@realworldcomputing.com.au
Hi Wamuggers,

The rumours seem to be condensing to the one date for the launch of the new
iPhone, and that is Wednesday 12 September.

http://www.appleinsider.com/articles/12/07/30/rumor_more_sources_confrim_apples_sept_12_special_event.html

Canadian Jim Dalrymple often seems to get inside information from some unknown
sources so there may be truth in this rumour.

There are also persistent rumours about a smaller iPad to be launched on the
same day but that remains to be seen.

Regards,
Carlo

Hi Stephen,

While the iPhone rumour is fairly solid, there are a number of murkier
predictions / guesses / rumours about the iMacs. I can tell you what I have
read but please don't make any plans based on it...

There may (or may not) be some sort of screen production problems for new Ivy

Isn't there a Computer Museum at Wireless Hill or somewhere which
would benefit from this?

Many long time members will well remember Tony Stefanetti of Computer Trade
Centre fame. Tony has been out of the business for five years now, but I got
a phone call from him the other day. He has a large collection of legacy
Macs (from the sound of things they are probably all pre-Intel) and before
he sets the wheels in motion to dispose of them, he is wondering if there
are any WAMUG members interested in taking some of them off his hands.

If you are interested at all please let me know ASAP. Their days are
 numbered.
