Hi Severin, When you first opened Calendar.app after upgrading to Mountain Lion, did you allow it to complete "Upgrading Calendars"? I require more information on how you have Calendar.app setup & how you have been syncing. The message you received when you 'Signed out of iCloud' indicates you have been and are using iCloud. Open Calendar.app Calendar > Preferences > Accounts - What do you have listed here, is it 'iCloud CalDAV'?
Under Calendars (in Side column) - what Calendars do you have selected & Subscriptions?
