Re: Console query - EyeTV exporting quits

2014-06-06 Thread F . W . Hänel
Hi Ronni, Daniel,

Just a little piece of feedback on the -36 error code.

I did borrow another Turbo 264HD stick and software. Today I tried exporting to
Apple TV with the replacement stick, everything is working now, no more error
message.
The old stick is now in the rubbish bin.

Thanks for your help,

Cheers,
Walter

Have you sent Elgato the information they asked you to send them, now that
 Console.app is working correctly?
Turbo crash log and a source EyeTV file in EyeTV Reporter?

I would not imagine they will get back to you until they receive the info.

 Hi Ronni,

No, when I have the Turbo 264HD stick plugged into an USB port it crashes
and the -36 error shows up.
When the stick is not connected it will export, but the CPU is stresses out
to the eye balls + iMac gets quite hot.
I am still hoping for some more suggestions from Elgato.

 Thanks again,

 Cheers,
 Walter

 Hi Ronni,

 Daniel sorted it out yesterday.
The Hide/show log list button was apparently locked. Daniel unlocked it
 and from then on
Console has been working well (sidebar now shows), no drastic repairs
 required.

Thanks again for your help Ronni,

 Hi Walter,

My final piece of advice on this subject... Arrange an appointment with
Daniel (MacWizardry) to check your computer ASAP.

I would not be trying to live with the problem... You might leave it
 too late.
The Error -36 I/O (input/output) error you received and the Console App
not working should not be ignored.

 Cheers,
 Ronni

I have to decide whether I should live with the problem of exporting

a wizard from Huntingdale to look at it.

Thanks again for your time and advice.

2012-08-19 Thread F . W . Hänel
Hi all,

I was reading about 2 of the free anit-virus software programs

1. iAntiVirus by Norton
2. Sophos Anti-Virus for Mac

Are they worth having and will they work with my iMac running 10.6.8 ?

Cheers,

iTunes store

2009-07-27 Thread F . W . Hänel

Hi Wamuggers,

I used to be able to listen to samples of songs for sale in the music
store.

Now a message comes up:

There are no speakers connected to the AirTunes device ...

My own playlists are not affected, internal speakers are selected for
sound output.

What has to be changed ?

Thanks

Walter

EyeTV not starting

2009-06-16 Thread F . W . Hänel

Hi guys,

My EyeTV Hybrid 3.0 has not mounted occasionally with the iMac
starting up even though it is

configured as a start-up item.
When I start it manually it comes with the alert:

The EyeTV hybrid device will not operate because it is connected to a
USB 1.1 port.

It should be connected to an available USB 2.0 port

As soon as I click the alert away it starts and works normally.

The message does not make sense as I'm using an Intel G5 iMac with
10.5.7 which

has only USB 2.0 ports and the EyeTv tuner is connected to one.

Any useful suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks

Walter

iTunes

2008-03-16 Thread F . W . Hänel

Hi Group,

what is the secret converting a song in an iTunes playlist from MPEG
Audio File to

AAC ?

When I start the Convert selection to AAC process in the Advanced
pull-down menu
some conversion seems to take place and an audio alert tells me the
conversion was
done - but when I look up the details on that song in the summary it
still shows

under Kind: MPEG audio file and not AAC.
So was the conversion done or not ? Why does it not change to AAC ?

Thanks

Walter
