Lost Mailoboxes
I recently upgraded to Mavericks, following all the proper procedures. Everything went well with a total download/instal time of around 2 hours. All software appears to work fine however, I have just noticed that a lot of my Mailboxes have disappeared and only the most recently used boxes remain. Can I rebuild from Time Machine or my backup external drive? Re: Lost Mailoboxes
Hi John, First check that the Mailboxes might be in the Sidebar, but not showing. Open Mail You should see: Mailboxes Smart Mailboxes On my Mac iCloud any other Mail Account Mailboxes Mouse over (hover) over the On My Mac and you will see Show appear. Click Show and your Mailboxes should he back If that is not the problem post back. Re: Lost Mailoboxes
Hi John, When you first opened Mail after upgrading to Mavericks, did you allow Mail to 'Update'? Exactly what Mail Boxes are missing? Do you have SMART MAILBOXES and every MAILBOX other than ON MY MAC No ON MY MAC (greyed) under MAILBOXES? When you place your cursor near ICLOUD or any of the MAILBOXES (greyed) that are showing... do you see 'Hide' to the right of it? You can't Rebuild a Mailbox that is not showing, you have to select it to Rebuild. Re: Lost Mailoboxes
Hi John, When you first opened Mail after installing Mavericks, Mail would have asked to Upgrade your Mail. The ICLOUD (heading is in a lighter grey) than the individual Mailboxes contained under them. And you don't have a ON MY MAC (heading in lighter grey)... is that correct? Before I can give you any further suggestions, would you send me a screenshot Offlist showing your Mailboxes please. I will send you a screenshot Offlist in another email showing you what I mean about the Show / Hide of ICLOUD mailbox I don't want to be sending instructions to delete certain files in ~/Library until I know for sure what your problem is. I will reply back Onlist after I see your screenshot.
