Yes I see that there are a couple of tutorials and I have found some
instructions on the Adobe help centre on the net. I do find it easier to
have a book beside me however. I see that on Amazon there is an Elements 4
for Mac but at about US$90 that's a bit over my limit.
Unless someone on WAMUG has upgraded and still has an Elements 4 book for
sale it looks as though I will have to abandon my search
  Thanks anyway

Photoshop elements 4

2006-11-13 Thread Lloyd White
Hi everyone,

I am using Photoshop Elements 4 but cannot save changes. When I work on a
photo and try to save it I get the message Could not complete your request
because of a program error.

I trashed plist files with no success. Trashed everything Adobe and
reinstalled. Same problem.

There are no updates on the internet for Elements 4. The program is
virtually useless to me.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Photoshop Elements 4 MORE

2006-11-13 Thread Lloyd White

Further information on my problem.

I spoke on the phone to Adobe support. When I opened an image and ³ Saved
as..² I could then open and enhance the saved image and save those changes
without problems.

Adobe thought the problem could be in my system. I opened a new user account
and repeated the whole process but STILL the same problem persisted.

At least I can now Save AS an image and work on it --- but I have some 50
photos to work on!!

I have recently repaired permissions and, to my knowledge have not installed
any plug-ins, but will follow Ronda's advice and remove any third party ones
I find.

Thanks for your help Bob, John and Ronda.

Lloyd
