Hi Rosemary, a friend had this problem and it was due to a failing power supply which had to be replaced. I also found this to be the solution to computer restarts when I did a Google search. Consider that you may not be able to solve the problem without taking it to a technician. Kind

Hi Rosemary How do you have your Time Machine disk connected to the laptop? Assuming it’s the machine you listed in your specs? Do you have a hard drive connected directly to the laptop via a USB-C port? Or is it a “normal USB” backup drive you’re using and you’re connecting it to the laptop

Hi Rosemary, It’s really hard to understand what the problem is that you are trying to resolve. I think you are telling us that you now think your computer is okay, but you think you have a problem with Time Machine. You’ve told us that your time machine disk is supporting three computers.
