Thanks Daniel. I will certainly follow that up. It’s a slightly different 
product (your is AdBlock, mine is Ad-Block - the hyphen does make a difference  
 :-)). The other difference is that AdBlock is an App by BETAFISH, whereas 
Ad-Block is purely an extension and comes from pcvark.og (a site, ironically, 
which is blocked by Ad-Blocker itself!!) Many of the other ad and content model 
seem to be following the model of Betafish, where you run an App which then 
installs an extension.

My main point was that when you go to Safari > Safari Extensions… in the menu, 
you now go to the App Store rather than the old extensions library web page. 
The Betafish product is not listed on the App Store after you choose that menu 
option, so it seems that it’s now a far less reliable guide.

Anyway. thanks for the link. I’ll download it and see how I fare.

Thank you Peter … this explains something to me.

I have used DuckDuckGo in place of Google for the last few months.
Decided to banish myself from Google’s trackers.

I noticed a couple of weeks ago that when DDG opens it pops up first time user 
windows again.
If I click on one of those I am told that the extension no longer operates and 
is being revised.

So for the time being I am simply closing that window each time DDG opens.
