Whoops! I was stuck in terrain tile mode. I forgot all about the
other textures. :o

As for what it solves, is there any reason to offer a range above what
we currently have the textures ? I just think it will be confusing
to the end users, if we offer a size of 2048, yet no texture in 2.2
will ever have that size (at least, for the foreseeable future).
If you are thinking for testing, I didn't limit the texturesize
specified in the config file, I just made it so we cap the max texture
option in the menu option.
