Joy Ellison has experienced work as a dialect coach in Hollywood as far back
as 1960, when she appeared in three first season episodes of TAGS. She
noticed Andy's over the top hayseed accent. During the filming of 'Andy
Forecloses' she tugged on Andy's pant legs to get his attention.

It has been suggested we all fire our imaginary bullet into the air in
salute to Don aka Barney Fife but I have a better suggestionlet us all
fire
our imaginary bullets into the floor instead, since that is where most of his

It was real nice reading all the beautiful tributes and memories that folks
posted in the various Don Knotts guestbooks and memorial archives for the
past week. Touched me deep to read how Don was loved by so many people all
over the globe and what Don meant to them.

A very nice tribute to Don Knotts on Larry King last nite. Andy looked good
and Don's daughter seems so nice. Just a bunch of good people on the show. It
was especially interesting how his daughter said that she used to listen to
her dad go over each line on Sundays, rehearsing for the show
I wonder if The Big Sheriff in the Sky will let Barney keep his bullet in his
