We all know Howard McNear had that horrid stroke in 1962. he returned in
1964 a partial invalid in the black and white episodes so by 1965 with him

I saw Rance Howard in an episode of 'Lie To Me' on Monday night. It was
pretty disturbing. The show's principle cops grabbed his cane and threw it
away from him just to get his granddaughter's attention. I was yelling at the
television (satirically); I know it's just a part. The series is

Picnics and gives their price. What is a picnic?
Hi Ted,
I'm guessing that refers to picnic hams, which were presumably second to
fried chicken in picnic protein popularity in Mayberry.

Caught Edgar Buchanan on Leave It To Beaver today playing Uncle Billy, a
character not that unlike Henry Wheeler and very much like Uncle Joe at The

Oh, sure, not only is Paul the world's leading authority of Mayberry stuff,

Maybe it's my upbringing in the south, but I've always known that a picnic is
a type of ham--but didn't know the specifics until Ted asked this question.
I've noticed the sign in the window referring to the picnics for 40

I have been browsing the web for the character's names on the Andy show, and I

We just had a car show here this last weekend, and there was a 1928 Model A,

It was completely restored and cherried out.
