Johnna, I agree with you completely. I've always thought that Mayor Stoner
had way too much power and authority in Mayberry. And he wasn't as sweet and
down-to-earth as Mayor Pike either. But then maybe he had no tempestuous
daughters around to soften him up!

Hit the downtown about 7:45 and got a parking spot on Main st., ate our
