We had a great time at Mayberry Days this year and like always hated to leave
on Sunday. The Doug Dillard Tribute show and Col. Tim's was great as always. A
big Thank You to all the tribute artist they all did a fantastic job. Special
thanks to George Lindsey Jr. for all the time he spent with
Wonderful time at Mayberry Days. Started with our pork chop sandwich at
Snappy's, then made our way up to Mayberry on Main to visit with the fine
folks there, Darrel, Debbie and Samantha Miles and bought a couple of new
shirts. That is the place for shirts and caps!! And most anything else
I am lobbying for a new international spelling for the work chicken.
Being I have been blessed by having my picture taken with so many cute
young chicks during my 58 Squad Car events this summer, I believe the
official spelling should be chick-ken.

As usual,our trip to Mt.Airy was wonderful.The original cast members and tribute
artists did a splendid job of entertaining.I've grown accustomed to them being
spot on each visit.
This last trip made me realize something though.The thing that I enjoy the
mostis seeing old friends again
This is some great news folks. We have all of TAGS, Gomer Pyle and Matlock
on DVD. And hopefully some day we will see a release of Mayberry R.F.D. But
the latest DVD news comes from Andy's short-lived series, Salvage-1, an
underrated series in my opinion.
