In one of the Mayberry RFD episodes there was a fund raising effort to help raise money to get a swimming pool for the kids of Mayberry. Sam hired a couple of ex convicts to help on the farm and they were inspired by one of Reverend Tucker's sermons, so they took money out of Aunt Bee's cookie
